Oh my God - brings back memories!!!! She is beautiful! She is little. How much does she weigh? How is Rebecca doing with her? We can't wait until you are home. She is just beautiful.
We are all huddled around the computer, so, so excited about Anna. We'll definitely be in prayer for the girls' fever and for adjustments to go smoothly. Mom wants to let y'all know, from experience with Sophie, older-child adoptions go better every minute. Thank you so much for the amazing descriptions. I felt like I was in the room! Anna is beautiful and we can't wait to hold her!
Blessings and Love to little Anna! and to Angelle, Jay, Rebekah, Landon and Micah May your life together be long and bring much joy! hugs to you all Elizabeth (ROY) in New Mexico
It all started a little over six years ago, when everything finally came together and Jay and Angelle decided to adopt a child...on the other side of the world. In January of 2005, they traveled (alone; that part is important) to the city of Changsha in China's Hunan Province to bring little Yuan Si Yu ('Thinking Feather') all the way back into our lives here in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Nothing has been the same. Ever since that time, Rebekah Marie has plunged head first into life in general, and it is hard to imagine there ever having been a time when she wasn't here rearranging the living room, emptying cabinets, carrying around 6 different purses, and screaming at the top of her lungs...just because she can.
After Rebekah settled in...and the dust had cleared, the possibility that we might try to travel to China again to adopt a second time became a simple inevitability. And, when the earliest possible date to make the petition to adopt came, we signed up. Four years later, we are following through on that promise.
Starting August 18th, ALL five of us (Jay, Angelle, Landon, Micah and Rebekah) will travel the roughly 8357.2 miles to Guizhou Province's capital city, Guiyang, to adopt the little sister (our 'meimei') who we've been waiting to meet for such a long time. Follow us as we journey across the world in 23 days to meet little Cao Tian Qin, soon to be Anna Noel Tian High whom God has blessed us with...and see a few sights along the way! Until then, Zaijian!
